Former Wycombe Wanderers captain Howes joined United in summer 2024.A versatile defender, Kara started playing football from a young age with her twin brother. Playing boys football up to the age of 10, before entering the Oxford United Centre Of Excellence. There until 17, before moving to the MK Dons Centre Of Excellence and getting appearances in the women’s first team.
It wasn’t long before Kara managed to pick up a contract, playing semi-professionally for London Bees. Her highlight of that was getting her first start and a 2-1 win against Aston Villa, playing against the likes of Chloe Kelly and other bigs names.
Kara then moved on and has captained Wycombe Wanderers Women, and last year played for Oxford United Development, winning the treble.
