The Yellows will be in search of a vital result tomorrow as they host Portishead Town.
Abingdon United have struggled to get their 2025 going so far, but this weekend is another opportunity for United to gain their first three points of the year, as they face Portishead Town who only sit one place below them.
This sets up another thrilling game at The Northcourt, especially for the neutral, with the visitors having also struggled in recent months.
Whilst United come into this game on the back of defeat to Swindon Town, Portishead are also on a run of poor form in 2025, having failed to win any of their last five games, with their most recent game being a loss to Bridgewater at home 3-2.
The Yellows and Portishead have only one point between the two of them, with both sides looking to increase the gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
The previous time these two teams clashed was at the Hallen Centre in September, where the Yellows went 2-0 down going into halftime, but United didn’t give up as an early second half goal by Molly Lygo gave them hope, and the momentum was all Abingdon's from that point onwards. Kara Howes grabbed an equaliser and the game finished 2-2, despite the visitors on the day throwing everything at it in the final stages.
Abingdon will want a different outcome this weekend as they hope to gain three points instead of one this time around, in another crucial game in the second half of the season.
