Match Preview written by Jamie Stonehouse
After defeat at Fawcetts Field, The Yellows will want to bounce back this evening under the lights against Swindon Town.
Despite goals scored by in-form Mollie Dyer and new signing Poppy Wannell last time out, United were unable to take a result from the South Coast
However, Swindon Town also come into this game on the back of defeat, losing to Bristol Rovers 2-0 at home, meaning both sides will be looking for a positive response.
The previous time these two teams faced was earlier on in the season with an exciting goal thriller with the first three goals being scored within the first 20 minutes.
Goalscorer Erin Hartigan started the game strong for Abingdon as she netted the first goal of the game in seven minutes.
Swindon responded well, as they went into halftime leading 3-1. The Yellows managed to bring it back to 3-3 with two quick consecutive goals by Olivia Smith, but unfortunately, with all the hard work, Swindon scored in the last minute of the game.
With seven places separating the two sides, the Yellows will want to put their best efforts in for this midweek clash at The Northcourt, in what is setup to be another brilliant encounter in front of our home support.
