Following a meeting with the current 1st team management it was decided that Abingdon United would look for a new manager. The team of Gary Ackling, Andy Lyne and Rob Wytchard did exactly what was asked of them last season, which was to stay up in the Hellenic Premier league. They were brought in to do a job and that is what they did. Abingdon United will always be extremely grateful to the management team for what that have done for us but now is the time to move on. We are now seeking to look for a young local manager with contacts to local players. We will be looking to have someone who will take on the club’s youth policies that have been recently introduced.
